Join us for the original, somewhat-annual, and always educational Higher Education Drupal Summit!
This year we are hosting a panel discussion with participants from UC Davis, UCSF, UCLA, and Stanford University.
Navigating the Maze: Establishing Platforms and Services in Decentralized Environments
Universities are notorious for their decentralized structures, with multiple departments, schools, and administrative units operating (and often financed) independently. This panel will dive into the challenges and strategies for getting platforms and services off the ground in such environments. We’ll discuss how to build consensus, design flexible solutions, manage governance, and entice adoption. Expect insights from IT leaders, project managers, site owners, and implementers who’ve been there, done that, and can identify the opportunities within the challenges posed by decentralization.
There will also be short Lightning Talks from our community, and table-top topical discussions.
Additional notes
This Summit is a venue for students, staff, and faculty of colleges and universities to exchange experiences and best practices, and to "share the crying towel", so to speak.
If you represent a commercial service provider, such as a development agency or hosting provider, you are welcome to attend but we ask that you leave your product shilling at the sponsor tables. Thank you for your cooperation.
